History of Bense Vision™
Our laser story began in 1994 and has been highlighted by more than 15,000 laser
vision correction procedures, not counting the many thousands of intra-ocular vision
restoration procedures we have performed since 1986. We are particularly proud of
the outstanding word-of-mouth referrals that make Bense Vision the most established
and trusted laser vision correction providers in Eastern Canada. Dr. Mike Bense
opened the doors to his ophthalmic practice in 1986, and since then has been in
the forefront of ophthalmology in Atlantic Canada. He is the most experienced LASIK
surgeon in Eastern Canada and is also one of the top laser surgeons in North America.
LVC is now established as a routine procedure in treating refractive errors. The
LASIK procedure is the most common procedure performed in North America. Over 33
million eyes have been treated with LASIK to date. Our website also includes other
refractive surgical methods, although iLASIK™ is used in more than 95% of the cases.
