The light energy in these wavelengths help vaporize or fragment the ink particles without damaging the skin. Your body then absorbs these ink fragments naturally and the color fades over the next number of weeks. Certain colors of light are absorbed by specific corresponding colors of the tattoo ink.

Laser tattoo removal is a safe and fast treatment. It is a quick, effective and tolerable. As with most laser treatments there are possible side effects. Side effects you may experience are; redness, swelling, tenderness, crusting, sunburn sensation, or itching following treatment.

The number of treatments required is determined by the size, color, location and age of the tattoo. Due to the various levels of professionalism and the different types of inks used, the results of the treatments will vary from patient to patient. Most tattoos will require multiple treatments that will be scheduled 6 to 12 weeks apart.
