Hyperhydrosis
Hyperhydrosis affects the amount of perspiration produced, and the condition can
leave the hands, chest, armpits or feet constantly damp, making everyday activities
difficult to carry out, and causing embarrassment to the sufferer.
Botox is used to treat this condition by injecting small amounts under the skin
where the perspiration is the greatest, blocking the action of the nerves that supply
the sweat glands. Most people report good results in 1 week but the effects wear
off over time, which is when you will need your next treatment. (generally every
7 months or so)
A treatment generally takes about 30 minutes to perform. You can resume your normal
routine straight afterwards.
